Sellers and service providers for events
The seller or service provider for each event is the host of that event.
The host’s name and other information are shown on the event page or the final confirmation screen in the purchase flow.
If the host’s address, phone number, representative, or the name of the person responsible for distance selling is not shown on the event page or elsewhere, we will disclose it without delay upon the buyer’s request so it can be confirmed before deciding to enter into a contract. To request disclosure, please contact us with the event name clearly stated.
Selling price and consideration for services
Ticket and other selling prices are shown on each event page.
The amount the buyer actually pays is shown as a total on the final confirmation screen in the purchase flow, including the following:
- Ticket price
- Service fee
- Payment processing fee
- Taxes
- Any other costs borne by the buyer
For free events, the event page states that there is no charge.
The currency of displayed prices is shown on each event page and the final confirmation screen. If currency conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, or other fees charged by the card issuer or similar arise, those costs are borne by the buyer.
Costs other than the selling price
If a service fee, payment processing fee, or other charges apply, their details and amounts are shown on the final confirmation screen in the purchase flow.
Internet connection fees, communication charges, device costs, and other expenses required to use this service are borne by the user.
Payment methods
You may use the methods shown on the purchase screen from among the following:
- Credit card
- Debit card
- Other payment methods designated by us or the payment provider
Payments are processed with Stripe. Available payment methods may vary by region, currency, event, or host.
Timing of payment
Payment is charged when the ticket purchase is completed.
When a credit or debit card charge is withdrawn from the buyer’s account depends on the terms set by the card issuer or other payment provider.
Registration period
If a registration period is shown on the event page, you must register within that period.
Even within the registration period, sales may end without notice due to reaching capacity, selling out the planned quantity, the host closing registration, or other reasons.
When tickets are provided
After payment is completed, we provide an electronic ticket or information needed to attend via the buyer’s hauss account, the purchase completion screen, a notice to the registered email address, or another method we designate.
Delivery may take longer in cases of network disruption, payment confirmation, identity verification, fraud investigation, or other unavoidable circumstances.
Services related to the event are provided at the date and time shown on the event page.
Cancellation and refunds at the buyer’s request
Whether cancellation and refunds are allowed at the buyer’s request, the cancellation deadline, refund amount, cancellation fee, and other terms are set by each host per event.
Applicable terms are shown on the event page and the final confirmation screen. Buyers must review the displayed cancellation and refund terms before completing a purchase.
After purchase is completed, we do not accept cancellation, changes, or refunds at the buyer’s request except as provided in the cancellation and refund terms applicable to that event.
The statutory cooling-off period for distance selling does not apply. This does not limit any cancellation, termination, or refund rights that applicable law grants to buyers.
Event cancellation and changes
If an event is cancelled by the host and the planned service is not provided, we will, in principle, refund the total amount the buyer paid for that purchase, including the ticket price, service fee, and payment processing fee.
If the date and time, venue, performers, content, or other material terms change substantially, the response is determined based on the nature of the change, the event, the host’s proposed response, and applicable law.
Buyers who cannot attend a rescheduled date may be offered cancellation or a refund under terms separately presented by the host or as required by law.
If an event is cancelled or changed due to natural disaster, infectious disease, government requests, transport disruption, or other causes beyond the host’s reasonable control, the host’s guidance applies in principle. Where law requires a refund, the law prevails.
Refund method and timing
Refunds are, in principle, issued to the payment method used at purchase.
After the refund process is completed, the time until funds appear in the buyer’s account or statement varies by card issuer, financial institution, or other payment provider.
Depending on the payment provider’s processing, banking business days, currency conversion, and similar factors, it may take some time for a refund to appear.
Host-set refund terms
Hosts may set the following terms for buyer-requested cancellations on a per-event basis:
- Whether cancellation is allowed
- Cancellation request deadline
- Full or partial refund
- Cancellation fee
- Whether ticket transfer or attendee details changes are allowed
- Other event-specific terms
However, hosts may not use their own refund terms to exclude refunds or other remedies required in the following cases:
- The event is cancelled for reasons attributable to the host
- The service corresponding to the purchased ticket is not provided
- Material event terms differ substantially from what was shown at purchase
- Cancellation, termination, or a refund is required by law
- Fraudulent sales, duplicate charges, or other cases where we determine a refund is necessary
Costs of refund processing arising from host cancellation, refunds attributable to the host, chargebacks, and related matters are, in principle, borne by the host.
Payments and payouts to hosts
Ticket payments are processed with Stripe Connect.
Ticket revenue is, in principle, credited to the host’s Stripe connected account and paid out to the financial institution account registered by the host according to the payout schedule set in Stripe and on that connected account.
Exact payout timing varies based on factors such as:
- The payout schedule configured in Stripe
- The period until revenue becomes available for payout
- The host’s country and currency
- Banking business days and processing status
- Identity verification and other review status
- Refunds, dispute claims, or chargebacks
- Fraud or similar investigations by Stripe or us
We do not guarantee that payouts to hosts will complete by any specific date.
If refunds, chargebacks, fines, damages, fees, or other amounts the host must bear arise, we may deduct those amounts from the host’s Stripe balance, unpaid revenue, or future revenue, or invoice the host separately.
Fees borne by hosts
Service fees, payment processing fees, and other amounts hosts pay us are shown on the event creation screen, the pricing page, or the host admin screens.
Our service fees are collected through Stripe Connect by deducting them from ticket revenue or by other methods we designate.
Taxes, filings, payments, and other tax obligations applicable to hosts are the host’s responsibility. We handle tax treatment applicable to service fees and other revenue we receive.
Supported environments
hauss can be used from web browsers and other environments we support.
Depending on device, OS, or browser type and version, all or part of this service may be unavailable. Recommended environments are shown in the product or on the help page.
Special sales conditions
Age limits, identity verification, items to bring, dress code, eligibility, companion rules, re-entry, and other special attendance conditions are shown on the relevant event page when they apply.
Refunds when a buyer cannot attend because they do not meet those conditions follow the cancellation and refund terms shown for the event. If displayed terms conflict with law, the law prevails.
Priority of displayed terms
Selling price, date and time, cancellation and refund terms, and other individual conditions shown on the event page and the final confirmation screen apply together with this page.
If this page conflicts with an event’s individual terms, the event’s individual terms prevail to the extent they do not fall below the minimum buyer protections set by law and this page.
